Welcome to the Pictbridge Printers page, Pictbridge is a technology that allows you to connect any digital camera to any printer as long as they both have the Pictbridge feature, therefore removing the need for a computer to print your digital photos. Pictbridge uses a USB cable to connect the printer and digital camera so they are very easy to use and once they are connected they will automatically recognise each other and give you the options on the digital camera's LCD screen.
There are lots of options that Pictbridge gives you which include basic operations such as printing one photo or all of the photos on the memory card. Then there are more advanced printing options such as choosing the size of prints, printing several copies of one photo, printing index sheets, printing only parts of one photo and adding information to a print such as the date and time it was taken.
Not all Pictbridge digital cameras and printers have the same features though so the ones that are available to you will be displayed on the digital camera's LCD screen. So if you want a specific Pictbridge feature then you should check the printer or digital camera before you buy as some only have the very basic features.
